ABOUT US

The SurfElite website was developed in late 1999 as a free web-based resource for coaches, competitors and officials in the sport of surf life saving. 

Since its inception, our “members” and consultancy program has provided fully tailored and specifically designed training programs to coaches, athletes, clubs and even entire branches not only in Australia but throughout the world including New Zealand, Japan, the United Kingdom, The United States, Mexico and Germany. 

Our new partnership with Blade Ocean Craft and SurfVest Australia will help SurfElite continue to support and develop athletes and coaches everywhere and provide assistance wherever possible, having conducted a coaching camp in the Tuscany region of Italy as recent as September 2008.

The driving force and main contributor to SurfElite is Dr Grant Wilkinson, the author of the current Surf Life Saving Australia Coaching Manual.  Dr Wilkinson is multiple former NSW State, Australian and World Champion with a total of over 60 medals from major competitions (NSW State, Australian and World Championships).
